About the Role:

  • Supporting the academic and personal development of deaf students through effective communication using British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves confidently.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of lessons and activities tailored to students' needs.
  • Building strong relationships with students, staff, and external professionals to promote holistic student development.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A passion for supporting the education of deaf children and young people.
  • Experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, including proficiency in BSL.
  • A collaborative approach to working within a team dedicated to inclusive education.
