The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Conveyancing Support Specialist to join our New Homes team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level Conveyancing support to the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the opening of client matters manually and through various computer systems.
  • Preparing and sending quotes for legal work.
  • Verifying client identification.
  • Sending client care documentation and checking incoming and outgoing documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensuring compliance with service standard requirements, both internal and external, in respect of all referred and introduced work.
  • Undertaking specific training when required and maintaining self-development.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of all Firm's and client's documentation and information.
  • Providing assistance with the processing of the Team's conveyancing matters by carrying out administrative tasks.
  • Using the case management system to carry out tasks assigned by members of the teams.
  • Keeping the files on the case management system up to date, accurate, and effective.
  • Answering and making telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate articulately with a broad range of individuals.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Previous experience of conveyancing work is desirable.
  • Confidence in using a broad range of digital technologies and a willingness to embrace and support technological change.
  • The ability to demonstrate an ability to cope with changing levels of workloads.
  • The ability to work effectively with others.
  • An understanding of the link between own/team performance and the overall success of the Firm.
