Cardiothoracic Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Care Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centred care in the Cardiothoracic Recovery department.
Your responsibilities will include working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver effective care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will also be responsible for implementing and coordinating care plans, participating in the on-call rota, and contributing to the overall efficiency and development of the theatre service.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through in-house training and ongoing professional development. You will work closely with our team to build a dynamic, flexible, and enthusiastic team that supports the delivery of our services and contributes to achieving our vision for the future.
Main Duties of the Job- Provide high-quality care to patients and their families during the perioperative period.
- Implement, coordinate, and deliver effective care for patients during the perioperative period.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Take responsibility for the supervision of Healthcare Assistants and other learners after a period of preceptorship.
- Report and document all relevant patient needs and communicate changes to other healthcare professionals.
