At Network Rail, we strive to create a workplace where everyone can thrive. As a Railway Maintenance Director, you'll be responsible for leading the Engineering team to deliver safe and efficient maintenance services across the network.

Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity to join a leading railway company and contribute to its success by developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies. You'll work closely with the engineering team to ensure that maintenance activities are delivered to the highest standards, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the engineering team to develop and implement the annual maintenance business plan.
  • Manage the engineering team to ensure compliance with the management assurance process.
  • Drive culture transformation for safety and asset performance, creating continual improvement.
  • Deliver safety, compliance, and performance strategies following business processes.
  • Monitor and allocate adequate resources to the engineering team.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new systems on the network.
Essential Requirements
  • Chartered engineer qualification.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • NEBOSH certificate.
  • Detailed knowledge of rail engineering discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance management, processes, and techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of compliance management processes.
  • Formal Accident & Incident Investigation skills.
  • Knowledge of operational railway environment.
  • CDM regulations and procedures knowledge.
  • Successful experience as a people manager.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organisational skills.
Compensation Package: £85,395 - £96,070 per annum (pro/rata) + benefits.
