Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Railway Infrastructure Manager to lead our Engineering team in delivering inspection, maintenance, and project-related works for all Infrastructure assets. This role involves driving culture transformation for safety and asset performance, creating continual improvement, and delivering safety, compliance, and performance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create a customer-focused, high-performing team and provide professional leadership and direction in values, behaviours, and the application of engineering practices and techniques.
  2. Act as an engineering professional lead to develop and manage implementation of the annual maintenance business plan.
  3. Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver holistic asset management.
  4. Lead and manage the engineering team to be compliant to the management assurance process.
  5. Lead the engineering team in the delivery of health and safety.
  6. Develop and manage the engineering team, monitoring adequate resources.
  7. Identify and manage the introduction of new systems on the network.
  8. Discharge the relevant duties assigned under the NR Engineering Management Plan.

Requirements:

  • Chartered engineer
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • Detailed knowledge of rail engineering discipline
  • Successful experience in maintenance management
  • Knowledge of compliance management processes
  • Formal Accident & Incident Investigation
  • Knowledge of operational railway environment
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Successful experience as a people manager
  • Proven interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organisation skills

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: UK (location negotiable)
