Betting Operations Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Betting Operations Specialist to ensure smooth and efficient customer betting transactions within our dynamic racing environment. Your role will involve adhering to company policies, procedures, and Gambling Commission Regulations.
Due to licensing restrictions, all applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive understanding of various bet types and minimum spend requirements.
- Prepare for customer interactions by setting up cash handling systems and betting terminals.
- Proficiently operate both static and handheld terminals to provide table service betting.
- Manage cash transactions meticulously, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Clarify bet details with customers before placing wagers to prevent any post-race adjustments.
- Implement strict security protocols to safeguard cash handling operations.
- Reconcile cash balances by completing accurate cash reports.
- Verify customer identities to uphold age restrictions and comply with Challenge 21 policies, documenting findings according to company guidelines.
- Operate within the framework of Gambling Commission regulations, paying particular attention to vulnerable individuals and anti-money laundering practices.
- Cultivate a positive and welcoming atmosphere by providing attentive and responsive customer service.
- Maintain a high level of efficiency to meet race time constraints and optimize betting opportunities.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and a personable demeanor.
- Demonstrate strong time management abilities and the capacity to thrive under pressure.
