The Purchasing Director plays a vital role in Liquidline's board of directors, overseeing the procurement strategy and processes to deliver exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, mitigate risk, and ensure key partners meet performance objectives.

The Role
  • Support Liquidline's strategic vision by leading supply chain and purchasing activities to elevate operating profit.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Purchasing to prepare annual purchasing budgets, set cost savings targets, and drive end-to-end delivery of savings.
  • Implement and track key metrics to inform risk management decisions.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the team to support their development.
  • Lead efficient stock holding by considering demand, product lead time, and stock turn ratios to minimize the risk of stock outages.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and internal CRM Systems.
  • Solid experience in negotiating at senior level within a B2B setting and managing teams.
  • Experience in demand planning and stock forecasting is essential for this position.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic supply chain leadership with the ability to deliver effective strategies, policies, and processes.
