Specialist Education Worker

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a specialist secondary school and pupil referral unit in West Cumbria. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH difficulties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting SEN or PRU pupils and demonstrate resilience when working with challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting Students: Work closely with teachers to support students with various needs, including learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties.
- Delivering Learning Activities: Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver learning activities that cater to the individual needs of students.
- Supervising Out-of-School Activities: Escort and supervise students on out-of-school activities, using initiative to deal with issues that arise.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A competitive salary range of £50-£70 per day.
