Learning Support Assistant for SEMH Students

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Austin Fraser. As a dedicated member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and assisting teachers in the education of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

As a key member of our team, you will assist teachers in delivering high-quality education to students with SEMH needs. This will involve helping to implement individual education plans, monitoring and assessing student progress, and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support and stability to students with challenging behaviour
  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons tailored to meet the specific needs of SEMH students
  • Participating in regular professional development sessions to enhance knowledge and skills

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEMH students
  • A commitment to supporting high-quality education for students with SEMH needs
  • A valid UK driving licence is required
