We are seeking a dedicated Educational Support Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Lancaster. The successful candidate will have prior experience working with students who exhibit Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

The role requires providing valuable support to classes comprising up to 26 pupils, collaborating directly with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo). This involves tracking and monitoring the progress of individual pupils, offering support to those with SEN and SEMH challenges, and delivering intervention sessions, particularly in English, Maths, and Science.

To be successful in this Academic Mentorship Role, you will need appropriate qualifications and training for the position. You should also be committed to professional development by enrolling in CPD courses to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Teaching Assistant. In return, you can expect statutory holiday pay (7%) and the opportunity to make the role permanent in the future.
