Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-time)

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with additional needs in a Lancaster-based school. This part-time role will provide ongoing support for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The successful candidate will support individual children with learning activities, communication, social interaction, behaviour management, and emotional regulation. They will also deliver interventions to children with autism on a personalized basis for each child.

To be suitable for this role, you must have experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant and a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and expectations. You should have knowledge and experience of delivering intervention programmes, supporting children with Special Educational Needs, and possess a compassionate and caring nature.

Salary: £93 per day, depending on your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with additional needs in EYFS
  • Delivering interventions to children with autism and other special needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans to support children's learning
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
Requirements:
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree (e.g., Childhood Studies, SEN, Psychology)
  • Professional references covering the last two full years
  • Experience working in a UK Primary School
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with additional needs, particularly autism
Contract Details:

This is a part-time, ongoing contract with a daily pay rate of £90-£110, depending on experience.
