About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an EY Apprenticeship Tutor in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, mentoring, and supporting apprentices in the Early Years Education sector. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in helping our apprentices achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment
    • Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify skill and knowledge gaps
    • Develop and deliver individual training plans tailored to candidate needs
    • Maintain accurate records of candidate progress
    • Undertake observations in the workplace to assess skills and behaviors
  • Training
    • Develop and deliver training programs using approved resources
    • Support the delivery of high-quality training to exceed awarding body standards
  • Skills and Behaviors
    • Provide tutorial support and guidance to apprentices
    • Support the development of English and Maths skills
    • Assist with remote online delivery of webinars to groups of apprentices
  • Co-ordination and Support
    • Monitor candidate progress and provide support in completion of portfolios and end-point assessments
    • Supply information to employees and employers to support apprenticeship programs
    • Liaise with Line Managers to facilitate reviews and appraisals
  • Administration
    • Complete relevant documentation to progress candidate enrollment and recording
    • Maintain accurate documentation of candidate progress against specified targets
Requirements
  • Hold a qualification or have experience in the subject area
  • Have up-to-date industry knowledge
  • Hold Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications
  • Have experience working with employers in a training or customer relations role
  • Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to work with e-portfolios
  • Can motivate learners and ensure timely completion
  • Hold a full driving license and be willing to travel to customer sites
