About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to join our team at The National Archives, responsible for the effective continued delivery of the Lawmaker service. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage the delivery of a complex digital service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver complex digital services in their live phase, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment, working closely with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical users, using persuasion and influencing skills to foster key relationships.
  • Operate and improve complex organisational and service processes, guiding others through change and using service metrics to drive improvements.
  • Ensure users receive a high-quality service by overseeing processes such as user support, incident management, and release management.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality outputs and good value, using management information to improve supplier performance.
  • Set or influence budgets and forecasts, monitoring spending and proactively managing financial risks and issues.
Requirements
  • Experience of successfully planning and delivering complex digital services in their live phase.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience of working with governance structures.
  • Ability to operate and improve complex organisational and service processes.
  • Experience of managing supplier relationships and financial management.
  • Knowledge of the UK Government Service Manual and Technology Code of Practice.
