About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our Digital Ticketing Services (DTS) team at the Rail Delivery Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our smart ticketing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end delivery and project management capability for DTS initiatives, working closely with Train Operating Companies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end projects through project initiation, delivery, and closure, using key project management tools.
  • Build business cases to secure funding for certain projects, where appropriate.
  • Establish clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, suppliers, and internal colleagues.
  • Work with technical and test specialists to ensure solutions are developed to agreed standards.
  • Keep other key DTS teams appraised of delivery issues, changes, or delays, as appropriate.
  • Utilize and maintain appropriate project management tools.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on project budgets.
  • Escalate issues and concerns to DTS Senior Delivery Managers and/or the DTS Programmes & Projects Lead.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APM, or significant vocational experience in project management.
  • Managing complex and time-critical technical projects with multiple stakeholders is essential.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholder expectations at all levels within the Rail Delivery Group and the rail industry is essential.
  • Excellent cost and cash flow management skills are essential.
  • Previous experience of implementing ITSO Smart Ticketing solutions in the rail industry is highly desirable.
