Make a Difference in the Lives of Young People

The Getaway, a purpose-built home located in Kirk Hallam, Ilkeston, offers short breaks or shared care to disabled children and young people aged 9-17 years old. As a Lead Night Care Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these young individuals with severe learning difficulties, autism, challenging behavior, and profound physical disabilities.

About the Role

You will work with a supportive management team, receive regular supervision, and be involved in helping to develop this service. Our commitment is to provide consistent, good-quality care through our twelve children's homes across Derbyshire. We strive to create an environment where young people feel happy to live.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine care and safety needs for the children within the home during the night.
  • Offer responsive care and support using a person-centered approach based on individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for the young people.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma and Social Care Pathway (England) 2015 or equivalent qualification.
  • Have experience working with vulnerable young people.
  • Show an openness to and aptitude for relationship-focused and psychologically informed working practices.
