About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Criticality Safety Assessment Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in criticality safety assessments. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure that all activities meet stringent safety standards.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is estimated at £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. AWE offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 9-day working fortnight, market-leading pension scheme, and generous annual leave.

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic environment. As a Criticality Safety Assessment Specialist, you will:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on criticality safety assessments.
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with criticality safety.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Honours degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in nuclear physics, criticality safety assessment techniques, and principles.
  • Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements for fissile operations within a nuclear licensed site.
