Criticality Risk Specialist Job Description

We are looking for a Criticality Risk Specialist to join our team at AWE. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential criticality risks in nuclear facilities. Your expertise in nuclear physics and mathematics will be essential in delivering high-quality risk assessments and contributing to our safety culture.

As a Criticality Risk Specialist, you will work closely with stakeholders from various disciplines to ensure that all safety assessments are completed to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of risk assessments and collaborating with other teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in science or engineering, with experience in writing technical reports and communicating complex ideas effectively. Familiarity with Monte Carlo computer codes and particle transport methods is also highly desirable.

Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum.
