About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Community Park and Recreation Manager to join our team at Tower Hamlets Partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of Community Park Rangers and Play Leaders in the delivery of regular and seasonal activities and programs for children.
  • Act as Duty Manager for the Parks and Open Spaces service on weekend days and in line with the rota.
  • Lead on Adventure Play facilities and activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for users.
  • Work across multiple parks in Tower Hamlets, providing an approachable and recognizable uniformed presence in parks and play areas.
  • Communicate with users, providing information and support as necessary in all weather conditions.
  • Plan, provide support, and lead small-scale events, play programs, and activities both outdoors and in council-owned buildings for children, families, and volunteers.
  • Protect and maintain the infrastructure of parks and play areas, including undertaking cleaning, gardening, repairs, and maintenance as required.
  • Support the development and delivery of park improvement projects, ensuring the health and safety of the public using our facilities.
