Parks and Visitor Services Officer

Join the Recreation and Trails Unit in a dynamic role that combines conservation, outdoor recreation, and community engagement. As a Parks and Visitor Services Officer, you will be part of a team that manages and maintains Western Australia's iconic trails and parks, ensuring they remain safe and enjoyable for visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with the management of recreational activities and events, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi Trail, and Cape to Cape Track, including maintenance, repairs, and emergency response.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including local communities, land managers, and other government agencies, to promote sustainable outdoor recreation and conservation practices.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Experience and personal interest in sustainable outdoor recreation and conservation, with a strong understanding of the importance of preserving Western Australia's natural environment.
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident.
