About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Programme Manager to join our Defence business in the UK. As a key member of our Project Delivery Team, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-profile control systems development programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as a liaison between project management and key stakeholders across the business.
  • Support the Programme/Account Manager in managing project relationships, including partners, suppliers, and beneficiaries, in line with agreements, supplier code of conduct, and best practice stakeholder management and contract management.
  • Support the Business Development function in pursuing and capturing new opportunities through to award of the associated contract.
  • Provide robust leadership to drive team performance, competence, and talent, and serve as a mentor and role model.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering or technical subject, or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
  • Strong team leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop people.
  • Able to work with people effectively at all levels, using well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to deal with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
Security Clearance

You must be able to gain and maintain the UK-Security Check (SC) clearance.
