About the Position:

We are recruiting for a skilled care assistant to provide ongoing support to a male non-verbal young person aged 15 with complex needs.

This role requires a caring and patient individual who can provide emotional support and assistance with daily living tasks.

The successful candidate will need to be physically fit and able to participate in activities that promote social interaction and community integration, such as swimming, trampolining, equine support, and hydrotherapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 2:1 or 3:1 support to the young person at all times
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Participating in activities that promote social interaction and community integration
  • Collaborating with the support team to develop and implement individualized support plans

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date training and experience in supporting individuals with Autism and learning disabilities
  • Strong background in PBS and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to adapt practice to meet the needs of the young person

Salary and Benefits:

£26,000 - £32,000 per annum
