Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for psychosis (CBTp) in our Early Intervention in Psychosis service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and intervene with patients at risk of mental state using individual Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
  • Manage and resolve bio-psycho-social patient issues that arise outside of CBTp sessions
  • Deliver training specific to the role to members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Supervise pre-qualification staff on CBTp-related placements
  • Supervise band 6 Care Co-ordinators, including nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists
  • Contribute to daily multidisciplinary meetings of the Early Intervention team
  • Support the EIS Team Manager in the successful running of the team

Requirements:

We are looking for a qualified psychologist with a relevant qualification and experience in community mental health and an understanding of the Early Intervention model of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CBT applied to clinical practice, particularly in respect of adults and young people with severe and enduring mental health disorders. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
