We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our well-established and respected HIV and Sexual Health team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed professional to take on a senior role within our team, providing specialist psychological services to patients and staff of the trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the challenges of working in a demanding environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, provide supervision to assistant psychologists and other health professionals, and conduct audit and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of complex clinical cases, providing assessment, intervention, and management using evidence-based psychological therapies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including assistant psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the team.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to the dissemination of findings through publications and presentations.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and extensive experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment. A strong track record of publication and presentation is also desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
