About the Programme

The Medical Leadership Fellowship Programme is a unique opportunity for ambitious doctors to develop their leadership skills and expertise in medical management. This fully funded programme is designed to equip doctors with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to become future healthcare leaders.

Programme Structure

The programme is designed to provide a comprehensive education in medical leadership, with a focus on developing the skills and knowledge needed to transform healthcare systems. The programme includes:

  • 36 lectures to attend
  • Group coursework
  • Personal dissertation
  • Implementing an impact project onsite in our hospitals
  • Producing an end-point assessment portfolio

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this programme, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • GMC and license to practice, fully registered with the GMC for a minimum of 3 years
  • NHS Trained 3 years+, IMT or CMT, with significant experience in Oncology
  • Able to work a medical rota, 3x12 shifts a week, including a range of days, nights, and weekends
  • Able to demonstrate a long-term appetite for management leadership and commitment to see out the programme
  • Will need to meet the conditions of the apprenticeship levy fund criteria
