**Job Title:** Community Development Officer

**Location:** Burnley, Lancashire

**Estimated Salary:** £20,000 - £25,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Community Development Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in your local community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of activities that promote science, technology, engineering, art, and maths (STEAM) and gaming events in Burnley Library. This will involve working with staff to set up activities, promoting events to library users, and developing project ideas to support the local community.

As a Community Development Officer, you will have the chance to:

  • Develop new skills and gain experience in community development and youth engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to deliver engaging activities and projects.
  • Make a positive impact on the lives of local people, particularly young people.

**Required Qualities:**

  • A passion for working with young people and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
