**Job Title:** Teaching Assistant for Students with SEND
**Estimated Salary:** £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in a Secondary Complex Needs School located in Islington, London.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide individualized support to students with complex learning requirements.
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers and support staff, to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote independence and self-confidence in students.
- Employ a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and relevant stakeholders.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience working with students with complex needs in a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND practices and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with various abilities.
