About the Role

The University of Bristol is seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Assistant to join our Catering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, including managing stock, equipment, and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory of catering assets and stock, ensuring accurate records and efficient stock rotation.
  • Coordinate the delivery of food and drink from one location to another, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Support the set up and running of events and pop-ups, including managing equipment and supplies.
  • Work closely with catering managers, supervisors, chefs, and support team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure efficient logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, delivery, or stock management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license with 2+ years of driving experience.
  • Ability to lift and load heavy items, with a good degree of physical fitness.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
