This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead the psychology provision in our established Assertive Outreach (AO) team. AO supports individuals with longstanding experiences of psychosis and is committed to developing psychologically informed practice.
You will develop the psychology offer in the team and provide clinical and operational leadership to our Clinical Associate Psychologist. You will be based at OSL House but will travel county wide to see clients in their homes and local communities.
About the RoleYou will oversee psychological provision in the AO team and ensure supervision and governance systems are in place to support our Clinical Associate Psychologist. You will carry a caseload and work within a multi-professional, recovery-oriented framework to provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention for service users and their carers/families.
You will provide supervision, consultancy, and clinical support to MDT colleagues. You will support colleagues to use 5P formulation and Decider Skills and work creatively with complex presentations.
You will contribute to multidisciplinary and senior management team meetings to ensure the effective operation of the teams. You will work with senior colleagues to ensure the continued provision of high-quality, responsive psychological therapies which support Step Up to Great Mental Health Service development plans and help to shape a psychologically informed service-wide Psychosis Pathway.
You will support research, audit, and evaluation and provide training. We have links with the Leicester DClinPsy course and there will be opportunities to teach on the programme as well as provide specialist clinical placements for Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
