Job Title: Senior Hardware/Electrical Engineer

Vantage Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware/Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems, electrical cabling and containment systems, and leading site works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical control panels containing PLC's, I/O Comms cards, UPS's, and transmission and distribution substation control and protection equipment.
  • Design and develop electrical cabling and containment systems, including surveying and identifying routes, cable calculations for sizing and earthing/protection, and assist with procurement by production of tender enquiries and tender return assessments.
  • Interpret customer specifications and develop solutions to fulfill those requirements, preparing suitable documentation and drawings to convey design intent.
  • Lead and supervise site works, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Educate to at least degree level in a relevant subject or HND with additional experience of at least 5 years post-graduate experience or 6 years post-HND experience on successful project implementation in the above areas of expertise.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to integrate with and mentor other team members.
Requirements:
  • Competence in designing electrical control panels and electrical cabling and containment systems.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and develop solutions to fulfill those requirements.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and supervise site works.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to integrate with and mentor other team members.
