Capula, a leading provider of advanced system integration, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical and control systems for our clients in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and control systems for our clients, including PLC-based control panels, cabling, MCCs, drives, and controls.
  • Undertake site surveys and develop electrical engineering solutions for cabling and control systems.
  • Collaborate with customers to design and implement control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Produce system designs, drawings, and documentation, including site cable drawings, general arrangements, and wiring diagrams.
  • Support site acceptance testing and commissioning, ensuring that systems are installed and functioning correctly.
  • Work with our project team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Experience in control systems within the energy market, with a strong understanding of PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience in field cabling systems, including surveying and identifying routes, cable calculations, and earthing/protection.
  • Experience in control panel design, incorporating PLC, I/O, comms cards, and UPSs.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, including BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regs and DSEAR Regulations.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and budgets, with a methodical approach to project delivery.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers and project teams.
