Job Description

At Capula, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical and control systems for our clients in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and control systems for our clients, including PLC-based control panels, cabling, MCCs, drives, and controls.
  • Undertake site surveys and develop electrical engineering solutions for cabling and control systems.
  • Collaborate with customers to design and implement control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Produce system designs, drawings, and documentation, including site cable drawings, general arrangements, and wiring diagrams.
  • Support the production of tender documents and cost estimates.
  • Work with the project team to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience in control systems within the energy market, with a focus on PLC-based control panels and cabling systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including cabling, MCCs, drives, and controls.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with customers and project teams.
  • Computer literate with experience in software such as Autocad and Excel.
  • Methodical approach to the interpretation of customer requirements and delivery of project documentation.
  • Understanding of Full Project Lifecycle.
  • Hold a current full driving license (UK or be able to easily convert to full UK).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Rockwell (Control Logix), Siemens (PC7S, TIA Portal), and Schneider (M580, M340) control systems.
  • Site installation and commissioning experience of control systems.
  • Knowledge of BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regs and DSEAR Regulations.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and budgets.
