Job Description: Senior Planning Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Specialist to join our team at R W Armstrong. As a Senior Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project programmes to ensure timely project delivery. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to integrate programmes, identify risks, and provide strategic planning support.

Responsibilities:
  • • Develop detailed project programmes, including all phases from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain and update project programme based on actual progress and changes in project scope.
  • Identify the critical path and key project milestones. Conduct regular critical path analyses to anticipate potential delays and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Identify potential programming risks and develop contingency plans. Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Requirements:
  • Education: degree in Construction Management, Project Management Qualifications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project programming, with at least 3-5 years in a senior scheduling role.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in programme software predominantly Elecosoft Power Project, and other relevant tools.
