About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Operations Coordinator to join our team at News UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the visual output of our multiCAM System, ensuring seamless live feeds from news agencies, and coordinating the sourcing, booking, and delivery of live feeds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall visual output from our multiCAM System, ensuring high-quality content is delivered to our audiences.
  • Monitor live feeds from news agencies, flagging and requesting as necessary to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate the sourcing, booking, and delivery of live feeds, working closely with our production team to ensure seamless integration.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of video systems and servers, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Train and schedule the visual operations team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensure best practices are adhered to by our multiCAM operators, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Track and report technical issues to our engineering department, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruption.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between video editors and visual production teams, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality output.
  • Oversee the effective media management and logging of video content, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking and retrieval.
  • Attend daily morning editorial conference, keeping the wider team informed and up-to-date on key developments.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, working closely with our engineering team to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Strategically plan around current and future workflows, ensuring our operations are optimized for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee continuity, ensuring all aspects of the schedule are consistent and well-coordinated.
Requirements
  • Firm grasp of technology using visual production and experience in coordinating.
  • Knowledgeable about the production process and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Understanding of broadcast systems and cloud-based asset management systems.
  • Great 'can-do' attitude and ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong working relationships across departments and with external agencies.
