Job Title: Visual Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Operations Coordinator to join our team at News UK. As a key member of our visual operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall visual output from our multicam system, ensuring seamless live feeds, and coordinating the sourcing, booking, and delivery of live feeds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the multicam system to ensure high-quality visual output
  • Monitor live feeds from news agencies and flag any issues for prompt resolution
  • Coordinate the sourcing, booking, and delivery of live feeds
  • Ensure regular maintenance of video systems and servers
  • Train and schedule the visual operations team
  • Ensure best practices are adhered to by the multicam operators
  • Track and report technical issues to the engineering department
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between video editors and visual production
  • Oversee media management and logging of video content
  • Attend daily editorial conferences and keep the wider team informed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
  • Strategically plan current and future workflows
  • Ensure continuity and consistency across all aspects of the schedule
Requirements:
  • Firm grasp of technology using visual production and experience in coordinating
  • Knowledgeable about the production process and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Understanding of broadcast systems
  • Awareness of cloud-based asset management systems
  • Great 'can-do' attitude and ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships across departments and with external agencies
