Role Overview:
Join us as an Equipment Engineer Apprentice at Briggs Equipment Ltd and embark on a 4-year journey of learning and development. This programme will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a fully qualified Forklift Truck Technician, working on a range of materials handling and powered access equipment.

Responsibilities:
• Complete the 3-year apprenticeship qualification: Diploma in Lift Truck Maintenance & Repair Principles SCQF Level 7
• Gain on-the-job experience, working alongside experienced engineers, and progressing through stages of responsibility
• Conduct fault diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of equipment on customer premises and at Briggs Equipment Ltd workshop locations

Requirements:
• Enthusiasm for engineering, including hobbies or voluntary work related to maintenance and repair
• Basic knowledge of health and safety principles
• Basic IT skills, including email and websites
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and environments

Benefits:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be eligible for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Equipment Engineer, with a salary expectation of approximately £30,000 per year. Additional benefits include company uniform and PPE, brand-new stocked toolbox, float for travel expenses, and more.
