We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Therapist to join our Eating Disorders Service in CAMHS. As a senior clinician, you will work closely with the Principle Clinical Lead and Team Manager to deliver psychological support to children and young people with eating disorders.
Main Responsibilities:- Assess, treat, and outcome measure children and young people with eating disorders
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and support the development of the team
- Work with parents/carers/families to develop strategies to support their child's recovery
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to support young people and their families
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team in CAMHS. As a Family Therapist, you will work with children and young people who present with complex mental health problems, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, OSFED, binge eating disorder, and ARFID. You will also work with parents/carers/families to develop strategies to support their child's recovery.
Requirements:- Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist or family therapist)
- Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, ACP, AFT, NMC)
- Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions
- Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people in crisis with complex mental health problems
- Knowledge of research methodology and outcome research design and ability to critically interpret research findings
