Key Responsibilities:- Promote Health and Safety Best Practices: Encourage continual improvement and reporting of near-miss situations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and Implement RAM Statements: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date RAM statements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support Regulatory Visits: Assist with visits from external regulatory bodies, such as the UK Health and Safety Executive, as required.
- Health and Safety Policy and Procedures: Ensure the company's Health and Safety Policy and procedures are maintained consistently across all sites, including the warehouse.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training sessions to meet employee training needs and support managers in maintaining safe systems of work.
- Risk Assessments: Prepare and carry out risk assessments to ensure compliance with legislation and identify potential hazards.
- Health and Safety Systems: Set up and support the maintenance of Health and Safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting and COSHH.
- Audits and Compliance: Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems and procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Fire Safety and DSE: Coordinate fire safety processes to ensure legal compliance, including evacuation procedures and fire prevention training, and ensure compliance with DSE requirements.
- Accident Investigation: Assist with the investigation of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence, including keeping written records of the investigation and action taken.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to interpret Health and Safety legislation.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Ability to design and deliver training and produce written policy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, including presentation and training experience.
