About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor to join our team at Nuffield Health, providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with common mental health problems, promoting self-management and recovery.
  • Conduct patient-centred consultations, identifying areas for change and assessing risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on referral suitability, adhering to Nuffield Health protocols, and refer clients to relevant agencies/GP when necessary.
  • Maintain standards of practice, adhering to Nuffield Health regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure client confidentiality, adhering to information governance policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in treatment for common mental health problems.
  • Keep accurate records of continued professional development and maintain specialist knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in counselling or counselling psychology.
  • Minimum two years' post-degree experience in counselling.
  • Full Accreditation with the BACP or UKCP, Accredited Professional Status with the NCPS, or Accredited Membership with COSCA.
  • NICE-approved Counselling for Depression training (ideally).
