Role Overview

Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business, working with clients across the Public Sector. We are currently recruiting for a Head of Learning and Development to join our client based in Liverpool.

This role offers a competitive salary, estimated at £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will drive the talent, leadership, and learning agenda for the organisation, following significant growth. They will be responsible for development and management of talent and learning initiatives in line with the organisation's strategic priority of attraction, retention and engagement of high performing and diverse talent.

The duties of the Head of Learning and Development will include:

* Providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the success of talent development, learning and organisational capability
* Leading, developing, engaging and motivating the team, ensuring standards and behaviours reflect the organisation values and a professional, innovative and modern Learning and Development service
* Creating and enabling a learning organisation culture with a growth mindset
* Building on existing interventions to enhance leadership at every level through development and delivery of high-quality capability programmes to deliver behavioural change aligned to corporate strategy and transformation
* Taking ownership for the wider learning and development offering, developing, and implementing early careers, leadership, management, talent development and career progression
* Defining and implementing a learning strategy that builds organisational capability and supports delivery of high performance and healthy culture
* Providing strategic leadership in embedding a coaching philosophy throughout the organisation
* Ability to drive digital innovation of learning delivery, utilising the latest AI and digital learning initiatives
* Contributing to further development and retention of talent and succession planning strategies
* Leading or focusing specific learning and development projects as applicable

Requirements

The Head of Learning and Development will ideally have:

* CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
* Experience of working at a similar level is essential
* Experience of development and implementing high-level planning processes for learning and talent development,
* Experience of developing talent strategies and approaches
* Knowledge and understanding of the impact of effective talent management on an organisation's ability to attract, retain and engage high performing talent
