Friends of the Earth is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Fundraising Manager to lead the trusts and foundations portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing and managing significant grants and delivering exceptional donor cultivation and stewardship.

The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, communicating the importance of trusts and foundation funding to internal and external stakeholders, and inspiring the team to seek out new opportunities and build meaningful relationships.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a good understanding of fundraising databases. They will be able to proactively build and manage stakeholder relationships, develop and deliver compelling funding proposals, and provide coaching and support to team members.

The Major Giving team at Friends of the Earth is ambitious, well-established, and dynamic, and this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team. The successful candidate will be passionate about the environment and committed to the mission of Friends of the Earth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the trusts and foundations portfolio
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling funding proposals and reports
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing coaching and support to team members
  • Managing and reporting on the performance of the trusts and foundations portfolio
