The ideal candidate will support the financial planning and analysis team in ensuring the smooth processing of asset purchasing and managing HP agreements, including posting to accounts, as well as general ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise.
This role will play a key part in implementing and embedding the company vision and behaviours in all that we do, with a focus on delivering the highest service and getting things right first time.
The focus areas of the role will be measured against the effective support of the following:
- Support the end-to-end preparation of Management Accounts at the depot and total company level
- Month-end journals, including accruals & prepayments
- Balances Sheet maintenance and reconciliations
- Assistance with variance analysis and commentary for review
- Assistance with the monthly reporting pack, including supporting schedules
- Assistance with company-wide budgeting and reforecasting
- Support in the implementation of new systems across the company
- Assisting with process improvements in the finance department and across the business
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Variety ad hoc duties and projects to support the business
To be successful in this role, you will need to have part-qualified accountant/QBE (AAT Qualified) and advanced Excel user skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with colleagues at all levels and commercially analyse and interpret results.
