At Barnardo's Scotland, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Our Residential Service at Pentland Way is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Child Support Specialist to join our team on a rotational basis, including weekends.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a residential setting supporting up to 3 young people in their daily routines, providing personal care, and administering medication after appropriate training. You will engage the young people in activities they enjoy, such as arts and crafts, puzzles, X-Box, walks, swimming, and more.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing risk in a way that empowers young people and builds resilience while ensuring their safety. They will demonstrate a high standard of person-centred practice, have good social care values, and be a strong role model to our children and young people.

We offer an in-depth induction process and training, regular supervision with your line manager, team meetings, and opportunities for career progression. The salary for this position is approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Barnardo's Caern Disability Services consists of three unique Projects delivering quality services for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Our Pentland Way service supports up to 3 young people in a residential setting, and our staff play an active role in supporting the young people and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes.
