Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing administrative support to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Process accounts using Sage 50 software, including month-end journals for work in progress, stock, budgeting, forecast, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Liaise with the accountant for month-end and year-end reporting.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, employee wages, and subcontractor payments for two companies, including CIS returns.
- Administrative and Customer Service Management:
- Process and issue sales invoices and credit control.
- Manage payroll for two companies using Sage Payroll, including pension submissions.
- Set up contracts for new starters and maintain utility accounts for both sites.
- Ensure insurance policies are adequate and current for vehicles, buildings, and business insurance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and implement control mechanisms.
- Financial Advice:
- Provide financial advice and coaching to various departments.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Teamwork:
- Coordinate and work with other senior positions and individuals.
Requirements:
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in IT and systems, particularly Sage 50 and Sage Payroll.
