We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Lifelancer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for securing and retaining business for us through professional sales activities directed at decision-makers and influencers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with experience in developing mid- and high-level business contacts. You will be responsible for identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, managing the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations.

In this role, you will work closely with our Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and expansion of relationships and business opportunities.

You will be responsible for gathering data on marketing trends and competitive products/services and pricing, and for positioning PPD as a primary or preferred provider for medical communications and medical information call center work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing client proposals, preparing client presentations, negotiating, and closing contracts.
  • Maintaining sales databases and cold call and client visit activity reports.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through periodic contact, reporting, and developing recommendations to address client dissatisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience providing knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to 2+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Scientific, sales, and/or marketing background with concentration in pharmaceutical/biotech area.
  • Proven track record of developing mid- and high-level business contacts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage and integrate with Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams.
  • Fluency in Portuguese language.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, managing sales processes, and handling contract negotiations.
  • Understanding of sales automation systems and Microsoft Office programs.
