Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the planning process, ensuring that the Department's goals and objectives are clearly defined and achievable.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior officials and external partners.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to senior leaders, using data and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Manage and analyse complex datasets, identifying trends and insights to inform business-critical decisions.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to improve performance and efficiency, using a range of tools and techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members, helping them to build their skills and expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of the Department's annual report and accounts, ensuring that the performance report provides a fair and balanced representation of the Department's achievements.

  • You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • You will have a strong record of proactivity, with excellent problem-solving skills and experience of dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • You will have a track record of delivering at pace, with a high degree of autonomy and ability to manage substantial workloads and competing priorities.
