  • Job Title: Senior Cycling Team Leader
Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate cycling professional to join our team as a Senior Cycling Team Leader at Evans Cycles. As a key member of the management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining store operations.

  1. Leadership & Team Management: Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating the store team to achieve sales targets, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a positive work environment.
  2. Customer Service: Set high standards for customer service, ensuring the team delivers a positive and knowledgeable experience to customers.
  3. Sales & Merchandising: Drive sales by working with the team to meet or exceed sales goals, ensure products are displayed attractively and in an organized manner.
  4. Staff Training & Development: Assist in training and developing store staff, including product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  5. Inventory Management: Help manage store inventory, including stock levels, restocking, and inventory accuracy. Participate in regular stocktakes.
  6. Cash Handling: Oversee cash handling procedures, including cash register operations and reconciliations.
  7. Customer Feedback: Gather and relay customer feedback to the Store Manager, providing input on ways to improve the customer experience.
  8. Opening & Closing Duties: Assist in opening and closing the store, ensuring security procedures are followed.
  9. Safety & Compliance: Promote and maintain a safe and compliant store environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  10. Administrative Tasks: Complete various administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and reports, as directed by the Store Manager.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Previous retail management experience, preferably in the cycling or sporting goods industry.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  4. Sales-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  5. Knowledge and passion for cycling and cycling products.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  7. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  9. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required by the store's operating hours.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
