Job Title: General Manager

About The Chef Foundation: We are a leading independent café/restaurant group, committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager to lead our team and drive the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of quality, service, and efficiency.
  • Sales and Customer Care: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, while ensuring exceptional customer care and quality assurance.
  • Staff Management: Train, motivate, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Oversee all aspects of food and beverage service, including menu development and inventory management.
  • Reservations and Sales: Manage reservations and drive sales growth through effective marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Financial Management: Oversee cash handling, banking, and stock management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and control.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Team Player: A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a focus on achieving shared goals.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: Up to £35,000, depending on experience.
  • Service Charge: Relevant service charge.
  • Working Hours: 48-hour week, over 5 days, with some evening events and private hire.
