Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Orthopaedic Therapy Services Team at Doncaster Hospital. As a Clinical Specialist, you will provide clinical and professional leadership to a team of qualified members of staff and assistants, driving the delivery of high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical management of complex orthopaedic discharges, while maintaining patient flow
  • Leading the Orthopaedic Therapy Team to continue providing therapy interventions over 7-days, while delivering the Trust's goals of reducing length of stay
  • Using innovation and improvement to challenge practice and provide efficient and effective services

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of relevant clinical and postgraduate courses/CPD, as well as leadership development programmes
  • A portfolio of reflective practice and relevant experience, demonstrating advanced specialist clinical knowledge and knowledge of professional roles within the MDT
