Orthopaedic Therapy Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Orthopaedic Therapy Services Team at Doncaster Hospital. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in providing clinical and professional leadership to a team of qualified members of staff and assistants.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical management of complex orthopaedic discharges, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Lead the Orthopaedic Therapy Team in delivering high-quality therapy interventions over 7 days, aligning with the Trust's goals of reducing length of stay.
- Drive innovation and improvement in practice, ensuring efficient and effective services.
- Support the full patient pathway, including facilitation of discharge, patient flow, and care in the community at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital.
- Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy team lead and occupational therapy team manager to achieve shared goals.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with HCPC.
- Evidence of relevant clinical and postgraduate courses/CPD.
- Leadership Development Programmes.
- Portfolio evidence of reflective practice and relevant experience.
- Evidence of advanced specialist clinical knowledge.
- Knowledge of professional roles within MDT.
- Knowledge of all relevant clinical guidelines/professional standards and clinical governance requirements.
- IT skills.
- Relevant M Level postgraduate modules.
- Audit/research courses.
- Postgraduate Management Modules.
- Member of relevant professional body.
- Significant postgraduate experience at Band 6 level in a range of specialities, including Orthopaedics.
- Experience in change management.
- Experience in clinical audit/research and effectiveness.
- Evidence of networking within Health/Social Care Community.
- Experience in the management and support of patients/carers with complex problems within this care group.
