Orthopaedic Therapy Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Orthopaedic Therapy Services Team as a Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, leading a team of qualified therapists and assistants to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical and professional leadership to the Orthopaedic Therapy Team, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient flow and reduce length of stay.
- Collaborate with the Physiotherapy team lead and occupational therapy team manager to achieve service goals and objectives.
- Support the development and education of therapy staff and students, as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Lead audit, identify, and lead research and quality improvement opportunities, including service review and evaluation.
- Coordinate the operational management of the service, ensuring effective use of resources and efficient delivery of services.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with HCPC.
- Evidence of relevant clinical and postgraduate courses/CPD.
- Leadership Development Programmes.
- Portfolio evidence of reflective practice and relevant experience.
- Evidence of advanced specialist clinical knowledge.
- Knowledge of professional roles within MDT.
- Knowledge of all relevant clinical guidelines/professional standards and clinical governance requirements.
- IT skills.
- Relevant M Level postgraduate modules.
- Audit/research courses.
- Postgraduate Management Modules.
- Member of relevant professional body.
- Significant postgraduate experience at Band 6 level in a range of specialities, including Orthopaedics.
- Experience in change management.
- Experience in clinical audit/research and effectiveness.
- Evidence of networking within Health/Social Care Community.
- Experience in the management and support of patients/carers with complex problems within this care group.
- Ability to motivate others and develop team working.
